I. The Beginning -- How Red Cheetah started running.

In 2001, Andrew Morgan of Lone Star Supplies contracted Steve Kahle of White Lion Internet Agency to build a sophisticated web application that could allow Lone Star's customers to order online, and give Lone Star the capability to transmit orders directly to SP Richards. Back then, Lone Star was experiencing triple digit growth for the third year in a row, and needed more functionality than they were getting from their current provider, Britannia. Lone Star also did not want to pay high fees or a percentage of sales (like the DDMS pricing model).

Lone Star soon had a new web application. While it was successfully powering Lone Star, Andrew and Steve realized their new tool could greatly benefit other office supply dealers as well. So they made some calls and interviews with more than 100 dealers across the country, and quickly discovered White Lion-designed software was superior to other products in the office supply industry. Most of all, Steve and Andrew were amazed at the volume of dealers ready to sign on immediately.
